Retail, dining, and entertainment (RD&E) developments have two goals—they need to be enjoyable enough that they prolong the visitor experience, and they need to effectively establish a strong brand identity, to be distinct. When successful, we see a trend of repeat visitation and increased revenue. In designing an RD&E, context is key. The high-level context that the development fits must be considered, as well as each individual location that visitors find may themselves in. In Zhengzhou, China (Henen Province), our team helped refine the design of Enjoyland, a new 260-acre RD&E destination.
Our multi-disciplinary team explored imaginative ways to convey authentic and memorable experiences to create a strong sense of place. As trusted partners to our client, the quality of the design for Enjoyland reflects our highly-collaborative and vision-oriented approach. Through master planning, architecture, landscape architecture, theming, 3D Visualization, and branding, we designed this destination as an eclectic and contemporary mix of venues that would delight visitors.
Enjoyland acts as a hub where visitors can shop and explore unique retail, flagship restaurants, and other entertainment experiences—while maintaining a sense of connection with access to other components of the property such as hotels and theme parks.
