Our offshore wind program manager, John has over 35 years of environmental consulting experience. A geologist by education and training, John applies his diversified experience in the geologic and physical environment as well as the marine ecological environment. John brings together Stantec’s environmental services and power engineering groups to deliver integrated solutions to our offshore wind clients.
John has been involved with a number of offshore wind development projects along the US east, west, and gulf coasts, as well as Canada, from initial consulting through construction and operation planning. His experience includes managing environmental assessments, geological studies, transmission and grid evaluations, and strategic planning and supply chain studies for state agencies. As a pioneer in the offshore wind industry in the United States, John was on the team that permitted, engineered, and built the first offshore wind staging facility in the United States in New Bedford, Massachusetts.
When he isn’t at work, you might find John spending time with his family and enjoying outdoor activities like golf, skiing, hiking, and deep-sea fishing.
