Stantec promotes Andrew Atkinson to Regional Director Transportation, New Zealand
In his new role, Andrew will define and implement the strategies to drive the firm’s Transportation business in New Zealand.

Leading global design firm Stantec has promoted Andrew Atkinson to the role of Regional Director Transportation, New Zealand. He takes up the role after a decade with Stantec nurturing client relationships and leading business development strategy across New Zealand and Australia.
Andrew has built a valuable understanding of Aotearoa’s transportation landscape by successfully leading campaigns and bids for Stantec New Zealand on key projects such as the Queenstown Transport Business Case and the Wānaka Masterplan. He was also instrumental in Stantec’s campaign to secure Manu Tāiko, a project where we are part of a team delivering over $5 billion of transformational road safety upgrades around the country to help Waka Kotahi meet road safety targets.

With post-graduate qualifications in business management, Andrew’s appointment sees him come full circle, having started in Stantec New Zealand’s transportation business in client development. Now he is returning to lead that same business line he initially focused on helping evolve into the advisory leaders and alternative delivery model experts it is today.
